Can You Have a Wedding Website with Unlimited Guests?

When you sign up for a free wedding website, you assume you can invite as many people as you want. You can't, on most platforms. There's a guest limit baked into the free tier, and it often isn't clear until you run into it.

For a small wedding with 30 guests, this never comes up. For a wedding with a big extended family or a multicultural guest list where you're inviting 200+ people, the cap becomes a problem fast.

What most platforms actually allow

Guest list limits vary widely and the numbers aren't always listed front and centre. Here's what the major platforms typically include on their free tiers, based on publicly available information:

Platform policies change. Check each one's current pricing page for the most up-to-date details.

The pattern is that most free tiers aren't really built for bigger weddings. You'll hit a limit somewhere, whether it's the number of guests you can track, the number of invitations you can send, or the number of RSVP responses you can collect.

Why guest limits exist

It's a pricing lever. Platforms use guest count as the thing that pushes couples from free to paid. For the platform, the more guests you have, the more value you're getting, so they charge accordingly.

From the couple's perspective, that's frustrating. You're not choosing a bigger wedding to get more features. The wedding is the size it is. The platform is just charging you more for a reality you can't change.

When guest limits become a problem

For most weddings under fifty guests, the cap on a free tier won't ever come up. Where it bites is at the larger end and in specific structural situations. If you're inviting more than a hundred people, or you have a large extended family on either side, or you're including community members beyond immediate family, you'll hit the ceiling fast. Multi-event weddings (rehearsal dinner, ceremony, brunch) where different guests are invited to different combinations multiply the records you need to track. So does treating plus-ones as separate records, or sending digital invitations that track opens per guest.

For Filipino weddings specifically, the guest list tends to grow as extended family members weigh in. A 150-person wedding can easily become 250. Starting on a platform with a tight guest cap means you'll be paying to upgrade before you even finish building the list.

What "unlimited" really means

A handful of platforms advertise unlimited guests, but the details matter. Check whether unlimited applies to:

  1. Guest list records: How many names you can add to your dashboard.
  2. Digital invitations sent: How many emails or messages the platform will deliver.
  3. RSVP responses collected: How many people can actually submit a response.
  4. Custom per-guest data: Meal choices, dietary restrictions, notes, multi-event tracking.

Some platforms cap one of these even while advertising "unlimited" on another. If RSVP responses are capped at 100 but your guest list is unlimited, you still can't use it for a larger wedding.

How we handle it at Always & Forever

Every Always & Forever wedding website includes unlimited guests from the free tier. No cap on the guest list, no cap on digital invitations sent, no cap on RSVP responses. The wedding is the size it is. Charging more for bigger families didn't feel right.

Premium unlocks more of what you can do per guest (group invitations, personalized greetings, custom RSVP fields, content visibility controls, and advanced tracking), but the guest count itself is never the thing you pay to raise.

Unlimited guests on every wedding website. Always & Forever never caps your guest list, invitations, or RSVPs. Sign up free and invite everyone you actually want there.

What to check before you commit

Read the pricing page carefully. Is there a guest list cap on the free tier, and what is it? Is there a separate cap on RSVP responses? Are digital invitation sends metered or unlimited? What happens when you hit a limit, do you get pushed to upgrade or does the platform just stop working mid-flow? And if the platform offers SMS invitations, are those metered differently from email?

If you can't find clear answers on the pricing page, that's the answer. Platforms that are generous with their limits tend to say so up front.

The short version

Check for guest limits before you fall in love with a design. Most free tiers have caps that kick in around the time you're serious about your guest list. Pick a platform where the pricing model doesn't punish you for the size of your wedding.
